First of all, it’s always a suprise to see Mark coming up with such "strange releasenames", but we had a good laugh in our office here. Thanks for that, Mark, always a pleasure. Btw, the german translation of "jackalope" is "Wolpertinger".

Well, regarding "Jaunty Jackalope" I think we can come up with a new application named "Leonov" for Ubuntu and other upstream projects which are using Launchpad for the Project Management.
It’s sad, that I’m unable to visit UDS in December, because this time it’s again in the United States, a country which I can’t visit anymore since 2001, when it changed from the land of the free to the land of the un-free. I’m sad about this, and I’m hoping that it will change when Obama is the Master of Puppets. If not, I’ll think the best you can do in the US is to vote for Walter.
Another wish, please install better VoIP infrastructure, which is also being used by the attendees much more (better mics), so that contributors can participate a bit more, even vocally.
At least, we can work on Ubuntu and make it much better as it is already.

At least you are white. Imagine being muslim …
Actually, organizing UDS there, seems like discrimination. Like they intend to boycot people of different colors or races. I mean, unless your white and christian, who would have to balls to go through their airports.
We all hear the stories… about what goes on in those airports…
I’m sorry, I can’t follow. As long you are US Citizen or a Foreign country citizen, you are facing problems.
Even US American citizens are discriminated by their own government.
Please leave skin colors and religion out…that’s more godwins law..
We all hear stories. They’re called rumours.
It’s a flying sabertooth jackalope! And it’s brown, which would make it ideal for an Ubuntu wallpaper.

As for the airport thing… it’s not so bad as everybody makes it out to be (unless your name or one similar to it is on the "no-fly list"), but it is darned annoying.

P.S. it sucks to have typed this all in, only to be informed my name "belongs to a registered user", and when I log in, it wipes out everything I have typed…. and then I still have to suffer a captcha even though I’m logged in… and then I’m told I entered the captcha incorrectly when I’m quite certain that’s not true… and then line breaks I inserted are non-existant and I need to re-enter a captcha with every edit… and it doesn’t remember my preference for plain text editor after I click the preview button…. and I need to re-enter captcha after a preview…. I’d forgotten what a royal pain in the arse it is to comment here!
that it’s somehow hard, but I dislike some behaviour of our customs or immigrations, but reading all the crap from the lawsite of immigrations into the US, I do dislike it, too.
I remember the times, when there was this "BSE" thingy in the UK…I was in the UK during these days, and when I came back, customs asked me: "Did you eat beef meat in the UK?"
If I hadn’t say "no" and lied to them, I would have been carried out to a doctor…which was totally nonsense.
I hope the administration and the new government will change some of the strange rules for immigration/visiting…because most of the stuff is useless..and I don’t want to be treated as a "terrorist" (fingerprints, eventually checking your gadgets, laptops etc.) this shouldn’t be a standard.
